The Scanty is an all female japanese pop group. The girls are Akane, Futami, To-bu and Yoppy. This group of young women are well known for their songs "I Love U" and "Rock 'N Roll Princess" which were both opening themes for Arina Tamemura's hit music-based animanga, Full Moon wo Sagashite, which they were animated into. Look out for them soon, since the anime has just reached America under the title "Full Moon".
