About Systembot
The production duo 'SystemBot' was founded late in 2002 by Rob Bianchetti (Dj Rob Little) & Justin Astbury (Dj Datman). SystemBot's style & sound can generally be described as progressive & melodic trance with splashes of diving techno. But keep in mind that trance is a very broad genre, where the lines between the different sub-genres are extremely thin. This is why the SystemBot sound is loved by such a wide spectrum of dance music followers. Because they have something for every one, from beautiful chord structures & vocal trance thru to driving techno. Over the past 3yrs SystemBot have put together a very tight & energetic live show. Playing at most of the big parties in Adelaide (Enchanted Forest, Heaven, Planet, The Governor Hindmarsh, Fresh Fm Transmission Party & the list goes on) & together with there more intermit club gigs they have come into a class of there own. SystemBot are currently getting great airplay & support around the country from Fresh FM (Adelaide), KIK FM (Darwin), Whyalla Radio, Dj Josh, Bexta & Mark Dynamix. SystemBot has supported acts like 'Darude', 'Paul Glazby', 'Dave Clark', 'Grooverider', 'Tidy Boys', 'Pendulum', 'Sonic Animation', 'Kid Kenobi & Mc SureShock', 'Pee Wee Ferris', 'Bexta', 'Paul Holden', 'Ajax' just to name a few. They have also played at GAS Sydney. In more recent times they have been really broadening their horizons with the movie project “Wolf Creek” for which they were asked to create three totally different tracks for the party scene. The first being a tribal piece called “Double the Bass”, the second was a groovy house number called “RX8” and the third a tough Grungy break beat number call “Your No Good To Me”. They have since been asked to create a single with film clip to canonised with the release of the movie around the world. This has been a real privilege and turning point for the guys allowing them to explore other musical genres and let me tell you that’s what they have done. The track “Broken 'N' Twisted” is a collaboration of SystemBot, local producer Templar Monk (Justin Pounsett) and the amazing Kaye Tuckerman. With the male vocals being taken care of by B-Bop Mc (Benton Astbury) the boys live performance vocalist. Justin Astbury, Aka DJ Datman, has been involved in the scene for some time. Starting off recording raves for local promoters, Justin met up with DJ Asterix and the critically acclaimed experimental Hard Techno Band 'Oblivyonx' was born. And when I say band I really do mean band; drummer, turntabilist, keyboard player, guitarist, MC (vocals) and Justin, the sound engineer and live sampling tech. 'Oblivyonx' stayed together for around 18 months playing at all the major parties and supporting big name acts like 'The Dream Team' from Holland, 'Dave Angel' and 'Ritchie Horton' from the States, and 'TopBuzz' from the UK, just to name a few. During this time Justin was introduced to a two-piece act going by the name of 'Collective Style' and soon became both their studio engineer, and. live engineer on the demanding Rave and Club circuit. When 'Collective Style' collectively bowed out of the Rave and Club scene, Justin grabbed his vinyl and hit the DJ scene under the name, DatMan. During this time, Justin was also working as a Sound Engineer at Street Remley Studios & then a four-year stint at NWS 9 Adelaide. For the past 4 1/2 years Justin has been Engineering & Composing in a character-laden church hall better known as Timms Tunes (www.timmstunes.com), a nationally recognised music and post-production studio in Norwood, S.A. Working on such projects as 'Wolf Creek', 'JJJ Hottest 100 DVD', 'Disney Trivial Pursuit DVD Board Game', 'BMW TVC's', 'Mazda Promo Videos' & also writes music for local production music library Beat Box. Over the past 16 years Justin has developed into arguably one of Australia's finest and intuitive post-production sound engineers. Rob has also been involved in dance music for over 13 years. First starting out as a DJ, he has played at most of the major dance parties in Adelaide & has supported acts like Judge Jules, timo maas, Marco bailey, space dj’s, Dave seaman, karim, dj rolando, Ian ossia, Dave Randall, Juan Atkins, BK, Stacey pullen, Dave Angle etc... About 6 years ago he started to get involved in music production and hasn't looked back since, already having great success with a string of releases, mainly on his own record label, Digital Recordings. He's also released tracks on the internationally recognised and Adelaide based, Dirty House Records - a label his brother Cam Bianchetti, Aka DJ HMC was already highly involved with. Rob has also won Producer of the Year, and Best Local Release at the Adelaide Dance Music Awards (ADMAs). What's more, a couple of his tracks have also been licensed to compilation CD's. And 'Pulsate', Robs most successful track to date, was also included on the Timmo Mass Mix CD, which was attached to the front cover of the acclaimed "Mix Magazine", undoubtedly the most prestigious dance music magazine in the world!
