About Swingset Committee
David and Andrew met attending UC Berkeley in 2006. They began collaborating on electronic music and eventually became Swingset Committee. David and Andrew came out to Korea in October of 2008 and began their Asian voyage. Within a month they played their first show and five months later have become one of the better known foreigner bands in Korea. They've slipped into a comfortable groove writing and recording on days off and performing most Saturday nights. David does the composition and programming. Andrew sings, dances, and writes lyrics. David and Andrew have a wide range of musical influences. David has played violin from the age of six and his classical background adds an interesting element to the music. Andrew has been singing 80s New Wave since birth and also plays many instruments. Electronic influences are Daft Punk, Justice and LCD Soundsystem. However, other artists drawn from are Radiohead, Tool, The Bad Plus, The Beatles, and Timbaland. On stage, David sings, plays guitar, keyboard, and drums, while Andrew plays bass, guitar, percussion, and pumps up the audience.
