About Strictly Rockers

Brainchild of full time weirdo, painter, radio-maker, guitarplayer, singer, living highly underrated legend KLOOT PER W... Making noise with STRICKTLY ROCKERS, which are, besides Kloot Per W, 2/3 of the late TC-MATIC and 1/4 of Belgian Pop History: RUDY CLOET SERGE FEYS JEAN-MARIE AERTS (producer) with addition of MIRKO BANOVIC and JAN VÖN BRAEDT (vocals) Stricktly Rockers is a reggae-style in which the "four-to-the-flour" beat is the main feature. Same beat that's the sounder of all discomusic. You'll find its affinity with reggae in its high-selected samples and a certain dub-feel. Mantra-trance elements mixing easily with toy-synths and plain rythm-boxes, resulting in hard core old school. Plain programmed disco-tunes and considered guitar-lace-patches, well surrounded by Jan Van Braedt's fragile voice. Tom Waits meets The Pet Shop Boys, Jimmy Sommerville meets Captain Beefheart in a very rub a dub stylie. Voice of Jan Van Braedt and KPW's guitar tasting more than a trifle of sweet 'n sour. Rugged new-wavy electronic sequences among dingy lo fi weeds. One hand on the cyber-pulse, one hand reaching beyond, yet rooted firmly in 40 years of pop-music, with the ear of a connoisseur and the zeal of a true musiclover. Their first CD was recorded at the IPC-Studio in Brussels by top-producer Jean Marie Aerts (Urban Dance Squad, Babylon Fighters, TC Matic, Elisa Waut, El Fish, Red Zebra, De Kreuners .. ). For live-performances there will probably be some extra musicians. http://www.klootperw.com Strictly Rockers, or Danny Coffey, released records on Labello Blanco Recordings during the '90s. Some of his aliases were: Basic One, Blades, Danny Coffey, Endemic Void, Slipstream and Tertius.
