About Steget
Steget is a Swedish piano pop duo from Gothenburg. The duo consists of Matilda Sjöström and Nils Dahl and was formed in 2008. Steget was formed as a piano pop duo by Matilda Sjöström and Nils Dahl in Gothenburg in 2008. The duo was formed when Sjöström, who was previously part of the duo Äkta kärlek together with Stina Velocette, wanted to start writing more of her own music. She contacted Dahl, who at the time was in the band Kultiration, which accompanied Äkta kärlek, and the two thought that the collaboration worked so well that they formed a group together. The duo released their first album Förändrar Allt in 2010, and their second album Till Slut in 2014. Since then they've released two more albums Ösregn & Kärlek (2023) and Till längtan och horisonten (2025). In December 2010, Steget participated in P3's Musikhjälpen, which was broadcast from Malmö.
