A collaboration between Slikback and Hyph11E. Hyph11E (a.k.a. Tess Sun) is a DJ and electronic producer from Shanghai. She is a member of the Svbkvlt and Genome66mbp collectives. Slikback (real name: Freddy M Njau) is an electronic producer from Nairobi, Kenya. His 2018 debut EP Lasakaneku launched Nyege Nyege Tapes' offshoot label Hakuna Kulala, and he is one of Nyege Nyege’s greatest success stories so far. He only began making music a couple of years ago, and he quickly amassed a catalog several hundred tracks deep. He played multiple sets at Nyege Nyege Festival last fall and then a month later played three more sets at Poland’s Unsound; his 2019 calendar includes gigs at CTM, Sónar, and Dekmantel, along with a string of dates across China. Lasakaneku was followed in 2019 by Tomo, a six-track EP capturing an even darker, more agitated snapshot of his global club sound.
