Will, (vocals, guitar) Jon, (vocals, guitar) Tom, (bass) and Matt (drums) have been playing on and off together for over 8 years. But this year has been the most challenging and rewarding at the same time. Having dispersed of money hungry investors, devious record labels, and a host of broken promises, the band has finally arrived! With infallible determination, persistence and hard work, in November 2007 the boys entered Fortress studios and recorded the blistering self-titled album they knew they were capable of. With Sikth’s own Justin Hill and Dan Weller at the helm, something very special has been created. Instead of worrying about hair and make-up Skirtbox have concentrated their efforts on writing killer riffs, ear shredding solos and huge hooks all delivered with a no bullshit attitude, a good sense of humour, and a tight as hell live show. Skirtbox have taken their influences that lie in eighties and early 90’s rock and metal and given them a fresh lease of life. Carefully crafted songs oozing with melody, power and unparalleled catchiness. This is rock and roll that will stand the test of time.
