About Sherkan
French Nu-Metal band formed in 1998 at Cergy-Pontoise, Paris France. Sherkan is an atypical group, a mixing of influences as various as Bjork, Mr. Bungle, Machine Head, Korn, Meshuggah, Sepultura. The band's wishes, with his primarily anglophone musical culture, are to make known its music beyond the French borders so it pushed them to sing exclusivly in English. The musical work of Sherkan is summarized as follows: to collect in a single entity a maximum of environments. Thus, through the songs of "inner", one will be able to feel power, sadness, melancholy, madness, joy, hatred, sensuality, irony, intimacy, frustration... This entity is called Sherkan and the consequence of this work is that all the pieces do not resemble each other, on the contrary, each piece proposes a single concept.
