About Seven Summits

Seven Summits are an indie rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. The band consists of Rory Nellis, Dominic Coyle, Joe McGurgan and Joe Laverty. The band was formed in 2008. Seven Summits use a range of guitar & synth sounds to create melody-driven alternative rock. The band was inspired by a number of artists, among them Bombay Bicycle Club, Wild Beasts, Blur, Grandaddy, Pavement and Weezer. The band has released two full-length albums: Seven Summits and Fossils. In 2013 they released Little Twist single, which remains their last material to date. Their debut album was a BBC Intoducing ALBUM OF THE MONTH and a Green&Live 'Top 20 Irish Album of 2009' As of 2019, they don't plan on releasing new albums any time soon, as they are busy with life and kids. But they want to return to a studio "at some point in the future".
