In an attempt to rid the ska genre of washed out cliches, SSU takes influence from innovative artists such as The Flaming Lips, Weezer, and more. Adding elements of metal, pop, rap, and more establishes SSU as an innovator of the genre. They've played alongside acts such as The Toasters, Anamanaguchi, Peelander-Z, Sublime With Rome, Bowling For Soup, Flatfoot 56, and more. Their debut EP was released June 30th, 2011.
