Running Late

About Running Late

1) Running Late was a punk rock / pop punk band from Alhambra, California. They started out in 1999 and released their demo the same year. In 2001 they released an EP called "The Road Less Traveled". Their only full length album, "Your New Addiction" was released in 2002. Running Late played with bands like Rufio, Don't Look Down and Never Heard Of It. In 2003 the band changed their name to Light The Sky, released a self titled EP, and an album called "The TV Has us Reaching for Stars" in 2006. 2) We are Running Late, an eclectic band from Madison, New Jersey which fuses rock, funk and alternative music together that gets you moving in your seat. A few years ago, three of us toyed with the idea of forming a band. We started out by playing cover songs at back yard parties. When our bassist and Cello player teamed up with the rest of us, Running Late was formed. We decided to take a more serious approach to our music two years ago and began writing original songs. We have worked hard through the obstacles presented to each of us, not the least of which being we all attended college at different schools. When our Lead Guitarist jumped on board, Running Late's sound was brought to the next level. These past few years have been a huge surprise for all of us. We have played with Blondie, Collective Soul, Neon Trees, Nicole Atkins, Steve Conti, Paul Rodgers, and Toad the Wet Sprocket. We have rocked crowds at venues which include Starland Ballroom, The Stone Pony, and The Knitting Factory while headlining frequently everywhere else. To top it off we have established connections to Sony Music, Island and Def Jam Records, as well as producer Ron Nevison. We were recently selected from tens of thousands of artists as one of Sony Music Sound and Image Showcase's "32 Emerging Global Artists". We have also been asked to perform live on Mallets Place TV which broadcasts to over 950,000 viewers. We are extremely fortunate and excited about the future ahead of us. We take pride in creating a sound that is truly something special and are often regarded as the most original band in the NJ underground scene. Want to contact us?
