About Rostock
The six friends and members of the group Rostock got together for the first time as a band in the late 2005 in a garage south of Århus. The group has now moved from the garage and into the city spending their time rehearsing and developing their style of melodic and noisy indie-rock. The members of the band were all at some point in the 1990's teenagers with long hair wearing Sonic Youth or The Cure t-shirts and a love for noisy and aggressive rock music is definitely a unifying element in the band. The band has done a lot of shows in small bars and venues around Århus and Jutland, including a release-party at Sway in October 2008 celebrating the release of the three track promo-demo Dead Is A Preposition. The demo presents new material as well as songs, that has been a part of the Rostock repertoire for some time. The demo was created hoping, that it will provide more opportunities for the six members of Rostock to present their music to the public and to kick ass live.
