There are two different musicians called Rod Thomas. 1. Rod Thomas is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from South Wales, United Kingdom, who mixes folk and disco. How based on London, he plays alongside people like James Yuill, It Hugs Back, Gotye and Noah & The Whale. In 2012, he released the critically acclaimed album Make Me Believe in Hope under the moniker Bright Light Bright Light. 2. Rod Thomas was a British pop/rock singer active in the early 1970s. Scouted by Jonathan King, Thomas released a single in 1972 'Timothy Jones' b/w 'Arthur Smith'. A concept LP of further character vignettes remained shelved, just like Thoma's ambitious pop opera, '(Something About) Suburbia'.
