About Pustosh

Pustosh is a Kyiv-based grunge / void-rock band from Ukraine, formed in 2019 in Kyiv. The band plays alternative rock with elements of indie and grunge, and describes its sound as void-rock, combining deep emotional expression with alternative rock aesthetics. Not to be confused with the Russian band of the same name. The band’s first release, the single “Nespravzhni / Shchos’ Ne Tak”, was released in October 2019 and was accompanied by a music video for the track “Shchos’ Ne Tak.” Pustosh’s music often reflects on themes of emptiness, self-perception, emotional depth, and the search for meaning. The band has described its artistic concept with the slogan “all you need is nothing.” Members: Maria Rubel (Joann Heel) — vocals, bass guitar Yevhenii Khrulov — drums, backing vocals, percussion
