About Phatjak Vs. Dj Hamoodi
DJ Hamoodi was born on October 24, 1974 and has been a top Dj in Greece and is most known for producing House, Electro & RnB music! His musical career started in 1993 where his passion for music had him starting to play music in private parties in Lebanon! His first club appearance was in 1994 @ club Diamonds where he played twice a month for 2 years until 1996! In 1997, Hamoodi moved to Greece where he started Dj’ing as a resident in Monkeys plus Club. His popularity grew immediately and in 1999 he was spotted by Vasilis Tsilichristos who he soon joined as resident DJ at Mercedes Club every Friday, Saturday and Sunday! He also started warm-up sets at Kingsize Club every Wednesday and Thursday playing vocal and funky House. He was soon destined to playing for bigger clubs, and in summer 2001-2002 he joined the Magna team as one of their residents at Club Paradissio! He would warm up to some of the world’s most famous dj’s such as David Morales, Frankie Knuckles and Satoshie Tomy just to name a few!! After a great summer, Hamoodi decided it was best to take up the offer and become resident in Sashi Club in Thesaloniki where he had a great winter and even better parties!! Phats & Small, Joe T. Vanilli, & Antoine Clamaran were some of the international dj’s he shared the decks with at Club Foli in Santorini and it was at this club he first met DJ Christos K!! Realizing an immediate sound connection with Christos (one of the pioneers and most well-known & respected Dj’s in Greece), it was then they put their music together to form the “DISCfunk Boyz!! The discfunk boys have been together since winter 2003 and made a big name for themselves in top clubs in Athens, throughout Greece & internationally!! Over the years touring together they played in Top Clubs of Greece such as: Bossa Nostra, Danza, Fuse & Luv in Athens. , Cavo Paradisio, Seabase, Pasha & People Club in Mykonos, Coca Club, Aloha Beach Bar, Au Bar & Future (Trinity) in Corfu, Venue Club in Trikala, Colliseum Club in Skopja, Underground Club in Belgrade, & last but not least the Glasshouse Club in London! In 2003 after reaching his highest level of Dj-ing and having played throughout Greece, he wanted to progress even more in the music scene and started producing his own music!! His first house release in 2004-5- “RITMO CALIENTE”in conjunction with Phatjak was an instant success and was signed to planetworks immediately receiving radio play, video clip constantly shown on MAD TV, and signed to Global Underground 1 and even making it worldwide on Buddha Bar 7 (selling over 150,000 copies)!! Hamoodi followed up his first track with electro songs- “Luv Duv” and “Sky High” which were featured on Global Underground 2! His latest song in 2006 has seen Hamoodi writing the lyrics of “Innocent Man”-a catchy RnB track where his lyrics speak about his recent experiences ..
