About Peabody Symphony Orchestra

The Peabody Institute conservatory was founded almost 150 years ago at Johns Hopkins university. The conservatory is considered one of the leading music conservatories in the world, boasting a renowned faculty and students from across the globe. The orchestral division of the conservatory comprises of two full symphonic orchestras. The symphonic orchestra is drawn from post-graduates while the concert orchestra contains under-graduates. Both perform around six concerts per season.
