Pauls Miervaldis Dambis (born June 30, 1936) is a Latvian composer, organist, conductor, pedagogue and sound man for motion pictures. His work is characterized by intellectualism, it embraces interest for Latvian folk music, the art of the the Renaissance and composition techniques of the 20th century. Music is a component of my existence, the way of being aware of reality, in other words - as long as there is music I live. Pauls Dambis.
