PER Music Library is an independent record label that specializes in instrumental, beats. production and archive music. It was founded in Burbank, California USA by writer / producer William ‘Hasan’ Robinson in 2016. Origin PER Music Library produces music that crosses multi-genres, with elements of lo-fi, beats, and jazz, nearly all of it instrumental, electronic, and experimental. Up to 2017, Hasan did the artwork, produced, mixed and masterd under the Basmala ℠ Moniker and maintains his characteristic voice over for tracks as a lyricist. Press often compared him to RJD2 and DJ Shadow, as it was clear, as Basmala, that this beat maker (who has recorded as Hasan Atiq and released five albums from 2005-2010 under the moniker Autolect) is blazing his own trail. There’s a slight minimalist pulse at Basmala’s heart, too, and a dedication to following the drift of a song’s élan that it shares with the spiritual jazz of the late ’60s.
