About One Eye Wanders
When the industrial Trio of 0dark:30 disbanded, member N. Copernicus focused his writing into a new solo instrumental electronic project known as One Eye Wanders. Using remnants of lost dialogue in place of performed vocals, the few first solo experiments have evolved into a fully realized entity and approach. The first collection of songs (Glimpse/Recoil) is available by request. One Eye Wanders performs live as a one man show. Weaving sounds and percussion behind a cage of equipment and tattered artifacts, One Eye Wanders embraces theatrical elements of Japanese kabuki and noh theater unearthed with the mechanisms of a disintegrating future. Though there are many moments of projection and agression, much of the music is meant to pull you into yourself, a journey past the manequins in the attic, to the cage in the crawlspace, or through collapsing facades of a ghost city. One Eye Wanders has been decribed as 'the cinema of the mind'. There is something new to discover with every listen.
