NovaThrone is a 5-piece progressive death metal band from Covington, Louisiana. They utilize 8-string guitars alongside ambient, space-oriented key sounds to achieve their own blend of modern death metal. NovaThrone originally formed under the name Meridian in mid 2012, and shortly after, released their debut full-length "Paradigm". Released through Total Deathcore, the album had an overall warm reception. Since the release of Paradigm the band underwent a name and style change, shifting from breakdown oriented deathcore, to a more technical and riff driven sound. Technical riffs and crushing growls collide with ambient melodies and the occasional clean vocals to characterize NovaThrone's own brand of progressive death. For fans of Fallujah, Archspire, The Faceless, Thy Art is Murder, Abiotic, etc.
