Modern Cinema is Long Beach, California's reigning indie-rock outfit and is poised for world domination. With their intricate yet danceable repertoire, they are said to be just the band to carry the torches of New Order, Gang of Four and more recent commodities such as Moving Units. Members Robert Boyd (guitar/lead vocals), William Pearce (bass), Shasta Gilmore (keyboard/backup vocals) and David Franklin (drums) were offered a recording contract only two months after solidifying as a group, and have more than proven themselves worthy. Their debut single 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?' has been a staple in the quartet's live performance from the beginning; their modifications launching it into the clapping hands of 21st century listeners. They are pleased to finally present the masses with their rendition of Rod Stewart's classic, and are looking forward to the upcoming release of their debut full-length album.
