Matthieu Mendès (born 1982 in Arras) is a French rock/pop artist. He spent his childhood in northern France growing up in an unmusical family. At the age of 8 Matthieu bought his first guitar. As an adolescent his favourite bands were Metallica and Nirvana. In 2005 he released his self-named debut album.
