Taken from their PureVolume page: "We were born in late-June '06. Adam and I were introduced as bandmates about 4 years ago. We were in bands that we'd never trade for anything, and that made us what we are now as musicians and people. As our friendship grew, our songwriting followed. One of our best friends, who was playing drums for us at the time, saw it fitting to leave the band (with our blessing.) Enter Jonathan, an answer to prayers and in miracle fashion. He actually asked us if we needed a drummer over myspace, we met and all three instantly clicked. With the blessing of immediate chemistry, songs began to form shortly after our first time playing together. We recorded and released an EP before our second show, because recording is one of the most enjoyable and important things to us. It's called Destroys The World and is available by money order or at shows. We have (as of 11/25) finished recording our second EP, Patients, and it is also available. We love you all. Tyler. Matlock." Matlock has since broken up, sometime around 2007 or 2008. They released two EPs in 2006 and one full-length, titled "Almost True," in 2007.
