Mark Suozzo’s career in music includes work as an accomplished guitarist, arranger, composer and conductor. He began his career in film working with indie director Whit Stillman. Their first collaboration, Metropolitan earned numerous nominations and awards. Its success led to the films Barcelona and The Last Days of Disco. Mark‘s music attracted the attention of documentary filmmakers Jan Oxenberg (Thank You and Goodnight), Michael Camerini & Shari Robertson (Well Founded Fear), Roger Weisberg (Why Can’t We Be A Family Again), Josh Aronson (Sound and Fury), and Kristi Jacobson (Toots) resulting in numerous awards including several Academy Award nominations. In 1996, Mark began working with Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini. This collaboration yielded the documentaries Off The Menu: The Last Days of Chasen’s, The Young and the Dead and Wanderlust, their extraordinary first feature film, American Splendor, and their follow-up The Nanny Diaries. Mark scored indie director Mary Harron's well-received feature film The Notorious Bettie Page. He has contributed arrangements to many recording artists, including Creed, Aretha Franklin, Cissy Houston, the Matrix, Jaheim and Britney Spears. Mark resides in New York City.
