About Marcus Volk

Acoustic ambient thunder folk with a foot in the gutter. This album is non-denominational & subscribes to no church. For your listening pleasure that leaves most everything up to your personal interpretation. Some career highlights include the Main Stage at the Oregon Country Fair in 2001 and The Experience Music Project / Northwest Folklife Festival in 2002. "Homegrown" is two albums worth of music. First, it is a rearranged, rewritten and rerecorded version of 2000's "Transmissions". Secondly, it is a collection of 13 more songs written over the past decade. It is primarily centered on the acoustic guitar with occasional accompaniment, some vocals and some other toys. It was done entirely (aside from a little mastering help) in home, by Marcus, in a very very modest set up, thus the title "Homegrown". iTunes ( http://www.itunes.com/marcusvolk ) MySpace ( http://www.myspace.com/marcusvolk ) Pandora ( http://www.pandora.com/music/artist/marcus+volk ) Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/marcusvolk1 Amazon ( https://artistcentral.amazon.com/artists/B003EFH6SC )
