About Manusound

After an EP released in 2007, "Nous sommes ce qui arrive" is Manusound first album in 2008. Being one of the founder members of the dub band « YOSH », who we heared from right from the start when they released their first album (PIAS,2006) in particular during the "Telerama dub festival" and the "Transmusicales de Rennes", Manu Leonard aka MANUSOUND allowed himself to explore new sounds through his laboratory. From a tragic, sharp, punchy (n°7 "Enrichis toi") or completly quirky (n°3 "N'importe quoi") spoken word, this first album reveals a many facets personality. Unusual and surprising, the sound mixing goes from a boiling hot electronic music (n°2 "Peep show"), a cosmic dub (n°5 "Le doigt sur la gâchette", n°1 "Une fusée plastique") to rock and drum'n'bass sounds (n°10 "You have the right"). The project is also surprising on stage, an unbridled show by Manusound, performer using samplers, keyboards and effects. The musical video "Peep show", by the Chilean video director Txalo Toloza, is also available on this album. It was shot in Barcelona with the Catalan performer Sonia Gomez between summer and autumn 2007. Many collaborations gave birth to this album: words from the writer Caryl Ferey melt into Yosh crew's smart and meticulous arrangements spiced by the unclassified Sonia Gomez's crazyness ("Peep Show") lead to a full, deep, wide-ranging album with a real innovative style.
