About Mad Night
1. MAD Night (written as マッドナイト since 2022) is a Japanese visual kei band from Nagano. They are part of the loud kei subgenre and have been active since 2014. The band was formed by three brothers: vocalist REV, guitarist Kira (奇羅), and bassist Yukito (雪兎). The lineup was completed with guitarist YURA and drummer Kuroro (有騎). Their first major appearance was with the song "Engrave," featured on the omnibus album DANGER TRIBE, released on September 7, 2016. However, on November 8, 2017, guitarist YURA left the band. On February 27, 2019, the band released their single Kikka (鬼華). The following year, on June 20, 2020, they held a one-man live show titled MAD Night at Nagano CLUB JUNK BOX. Shortly after, drummer Kuroro (有騎) seceded from the band. In December 2022, MAD Night began writing their band name in katakana (マッドナイト) instead of English, and on December 11, the music video for their song Nemuranu Machi (眠らぬ街) was released on YouTube. On October 28, 2023, MAD Night performed at Meguro ROCKMAYKAN alongside NAMELESS and DIABLEVOIX (ディアブルボア). This performance also marked the departure of bassist Yukito (雪兎). 2. Mad Night is a band out of Southern California consisting of Maura Mitchell, Michael Ryback and Neill Murzynowski. Their sound is vocal driven with a White Stripes sensibility of "less is more". Capable of crossing genres, they have a solid sound that is influenced by music as varied as PJ Harvey to the Shins.
