About Love Among Freaks

Love Among Freaks was a funk rock band, which formed around 1993 in New Jersey, United States. The band consisted of Steve Smyth (vocals, guitar), Alexis Lehman (bass), Layonne Holmes (backing vocals), Bob Pantella (drums) and Timo Scott (drums, vocals). The band is best known for the songs "Clerks" and "Berserker" from the soundtrack of the popular 1994 independent comedy film "Clerks", for which the band also composed the brief scene interstitial music for. In 1997, the band also contributed a song to the soundtrack of "Clerks" director Kevin Smith's third film "Chasing Amy". The band's only full length album, "Representin' Planet Earth" was released in 1998. The band split in 1999. Bob Pantella has been the drummer for the popular rock band Monster Magnet since 2004.
