About Level Eye
Ivy and Yan met in 1982 while performing with the Amsterdam R & B band “Ivy & the Terracetones”. In 1986, freedom and adventure lured them both away from Holland. Touring through Europe for many years, covering thousands of miles, urged them to write about their experiences. Being self-taught, they slowly built up a repertoire of their own songs, talking about waste, destruction, greed, love and loneliness. Driven by the passion to express themselves on a larger scale and sensitive as they are to environmental respect, they stopped living on the road to retreat to nature. In 1995, they found a remote place to take their music to perfection. Living in France they recorded their album “Better get going” (Hacienda Productions 1999). As a two person group with a full band sound they present themselves with a repertoire of originals and covers in a Rhythm & Blues, Soul style.
