About Lazersonic & Zak Frost
Lazersonic & Zak Frost met whilst Dj’ing at T in the Park and through a love of analogue and digital machines their bond was sealed. Their first collaboration “Aquaplane” was signed by Turbo Recordings and was remixed by Williams and Unit 4. The Unit 4 mix was featured on Turbo’s Omni Dance compilation and received airplay from Radio 1’s Kissy Sell Out. And now for their second release, “Levels” which has already gained support from the likes of David Guetta on his international “F**k Me I’m Famous” radio show. The track has a massive bassline and features unique vocals from Ali Love (K-Hole, vocal on Chemical Brothers “Do It Again”) No strangers to dance music, the two have a strong electronic heritage. Zak Frost, synonymous with the infamous Nodisko parties in London, has been a key figure on the European house and techno DJ circuit for the last decade. With releases for Dirt Crew Recordings and Moodmusic and a global radio show for Ministry of Sound under his belt, he continues to electrify audiences at Europe's top clubs and festivals. Lazersonic is rapidly establishing himself as one of the hottest new producers on the block. As well as his work with Zak, he is the producer behind the hotly tipped Riz MC (recently signed to Crosstown Rebels), with their debut single Radar receiving DJ Magazine's ‘Money Shot’. His first solo release “Goin Off” on Air Recordings was tune of the month in Mixmag. This year will also see him start a DJ residency at new South London superclub Matter. The duo debuted their new enhanced live/DJ show at Fabric this January, fusing decks, FX, CDs and laptop. With plenty of new productions, remixes and gigs on the horizon, you’ll be hearing a lot more of Lazersonic and Zak Frost this summer…
