About Lacklustre Mirror
It was late summer 1998 when this project had been launched under a different name. The current one had been adopted two years later after the project's founder recorded his first demo tape 'Dark Water' (2000). In 2004 the band had its first formal release with 'Colours of Black vol.1' Russian Dark Scene compilation, released by Shadowplay Release label. The second volume of this compilation emerged in 2006, also featuring a track from the band, and then in 2007 Shadowplay released 'The Book of the Shattered Bonds', a full-range debut album by Lacklustre Mirror. As of today, 3 of 5 members of Lacklustre Mirror are also involved with a goth-rock/new-wave band Children of the Gun. The band have just finished working on its second album 'Forgotten Songs', which is to be released later in 2008. Music by Lacklustre Mirror is quite uneasy to describe, as it comprises elements of symphonic neoclassic music, darkwave, dark ambient, ethereal, art/progressive rock and even, occasionally, doom metal, producing gloomy, epic and immersive soundscapes prone to surprising twists. The band itself prefers to call its genre 'Dark Art Rock'.
