About Kultura
There have been at least two bands named Kultura: 1. Kultura was a Polish reggae band, active from 1983 to 1986, and associated with the legendary Warsaw students' club 'Hybrydy'. It was one of the key acts of the contemporary Polish reggae scene and remains known for their energetic performances, recorded on several bootlegs. Throughout its career the band remained close to Izrael, to a point of the two often performing as an all-stars outfit Kultura-Izrael. Following Kultura's disbanding, its leader, Dariusz 'Maleo' Malejonek (later member of Maleo Reggae Rockers, Houk, Moskwa, 2Tm2,3 and Armia, among others) became a permanent member of Izrael. Kultura did not manage to record any LPs, still some of their tracks got released on compilation albums.
