About Kieran White

Kieran White was a British vocalist and guitarist. He sang and played in the blues-rock band Steamhammer, formed in 1968. Their debut album Steamhammer was released in 1969, on which he co-wrote many of the songs and also played harmonica. He left the band in 1971. White also sang for the jazz-rock band Nucleus. He released a solo album on Gull Records in 1975 entitled ' Open Door ' which included a version of JJ Cale's ' Cajun Moon'. He moved to the US in 1989 and left the music business, working as a truck driver, though, as he said, "I still play my instruments ...and love music and will always be a musician... I am proud of my time and work with Steamhammer." White died in March 1995 in Oregon, after an unsuccessful battle with cancer.
