From his website's "About" page: Through the online trance community both Johan's & Nyman's promo sets started to spread quickly among trance fans around the world. After a while, demand for a web site, where people easily could find info about the sets, increased. In september 2000 The AssortedTrance.com web site was born. The name Assorted Trance was chosen to give the sets a neutral name in order to strip away all the hype and expectations that a name could imply. This was important since both DJs wanted the music and the mixes of the sets to speak for it self as much as possible.
