Philippe is known for performances & collaborations with the Berklee J Dilla ensemble, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, De La Soul, Q-tip, Elaquent, Black Milk, Daru Jones, DJ Premier, Mike Phillips, AFTA-1 and many more. Philippe received the title "JayLotus the Coltrane of Hip Hop" while attending school but took the name "JayLotus" as his name a year later after he left and continued on simultaneously performing on sax & creating beats.
