About J-KROSS
Jason Rivera (J-KROSS) was born on January 16, 1986 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He doesn't consider himself to be anything out of the ordinary and is a polite, humble and respectable young man. Becoming a musical artist was something that has always been in the back of his mind but, he never really took it seriously. Not to mention that he had no clue as to what style of music he would pursue if he did decide to go through with it, nonetheless, what his role would be (e.g. singer, producer, lyricist, etc.). 2008 was the year that Jason decided to give it a shot (seeing how almost everyone and their grandmother were becoming musical artists). He purchased his first laptop and a music program titled "FL STUDIO 8-Producers Edition XXL". And thus, J-KROSS was born. Taking on a style he never would have imagined himself doing: Electronica. Slowly mastering his new found craft, he pushed out his self-titled debut album "J-KROSS" on July 16, 2008. After becoming captivated by the feeling of accomplishment from his first album, he began working on his 2nd album titled "The Return". On this 2nd album he wanted to have only 7 songs because, 7 is the number of completion according to God and so he wanted to resemble that on his album. Also, he wanted only 7 songs because, he knew this album's intensity and power would be turned up and so he wanted it to be almost a tease to get the listener to want more and more. Only, time will tell on what this amazing young artist has planned next. New albums should not be out of the question. His style is very authentic and original. The way each song is mapped out, if a label had to be put on it, it would be "Simple" and "Catchy". The amount of energy and attention J-KROSS pays to his synthesizer work is admirable and inspirational. His goal is to create a tune that people will always remember and his name also remembered as being the "The People's Artist".
