Giovanni Francesco Giuliani ( Livorno , 1760 - Florence , 1820 ) was an Italian harpist, composer and conductor. Born in Livorno in 1760, in Florence he studied violin with the great Nardini , where he became one of the most distinguished pupils, and counterpoint with Bartolomeo Felici . Giuliani's entire career took place in Florence where, young, held the position of first violin at the New Theatre, and where he was conductor of the Theatre of the Intrepid, 1783-1798.
