About Gabrielle Goodman
Gabrielle Goodman, born in Baltimore, Maryland is an incredible vocal artist whose versatility is second to none. She sings jazz, R&B , gospel and classical music. She began her international career as a backing vocalist for Roberta Flack in the 1980's and has been going strong ever since. She was featured as a lead vocalist on the Norman Connors Passion CD in 1988 on Capitol Records. Since then, she has toured with Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Brian Ferry and Freddie Jackson. She has also shared the stage with George Duke, Patrice Rushen, Christian Mcbride, Al Jarreau and many others. And she toured extensively with Michael Buble in the musical theater production "Forever Swing" where she played the role of Ella to Buble's Sinatra. Goodman was signed to the JMT/Verve label in the early 1990's where she appeared with Kevin Eubanks, Christian Mcbride, Terri Lynn Carrington on her solo CD "Travelin Light" and "Until We Love" singing straight ahead jazz. Goodman's third CD "Angel Eyes" shows her R&B and smooth jazz side where she sings a soulful rendition of "Fly Like An Eagle", "Angel Eyes" and many of her own songs. A formidable writer, she was a awarded the ASCAP top ten R&B award for the song "You Can Make The Story Right" which she co-wrote for Chaka Khan. This song also appears on the "Angel Eyes" CD. Gabrielle Goodman's recent single "I Wanna Be With You" takes you back to the Soul days of Aretha Franklin.
