Fruit Punch is a political Hardcore punk band from Philadelphia that supported Gay rights, Female rights, Human rights, Animal Liberation, Straight Edge, and plenty of other political topics.They take influence from 80s hardcore (Burn, Minor threat, Gorilla Biscuits, Black Flag), Meshing that with a strong wave of early 90s crust (Fleas and lice, Avskum, State Of Fear), A hint of Ska, a dash of Surf, a pinch of Rock ‘n’ Roll and Metal, and a whole lot of punk attitude! All this mixed together makes an extremely unique sound, unlike most of the bands popping up today. To call Fruit Punch a Political band would be an understatement. With topics ranging from Human Rights, Animal Rights, to the nuclear apocalypse, this band is not scared to get a little dark in their lyrics. Their lyrics are a beautiful mix of metaphors and sarcasm that are not for the weak minded. They are now broken up.
