About Francesco Ciampi

Francesco Ciampi (Pisa , 1690 - Rome , ...) was an Italian composer and violinist . Little is known about Ciampi's life. It is known that he served as a violinist and choirmaster at the court of the Duke of Massa Alderamo Cybo-Malaspina. On 3 July 1719 he became a member of the Bologna Philharmonic Academy . In 1735 he went to Rome , where he became choirmaster of the Church of Sant'Angelo Custode. After 1764, news of him is lost.
