About Flames Across Tokyo

Sadly the lights of Flames Across Tokyo have burned out, sad sad times. You never know though, loads of bands these days are coming back with a bang, so maybe it'll be our turn soon. Flames Across Tokyo (formerly known as 'The Illusion Principle') are an Alternative Punk Rock band based in Dundee. Formed in August 2005 as "The Illusion Principle", they hurriedly self-recorded a 6 track E.P. Three Invisible Paths in November 2005 and launched it at their first gig. Second E.P. Growth, fall and Decay was again self-recorded in March 2006 and comprised of four songs. Each song has a different musical journey, often influenced by the bands love of pop-cult movies and TV, and show scant regard for conventional song structure. Simple three chord pop this is not.
