About Kelly Kelz
Originally from The Bronx, NY, this young singer has come a long way in her spiritual walk and music career. Kelly grew up in a Christian home with musically inclined parents who realized she had a gift at the age of 2. She was involved in a church where she first got to use her vocal ability. She sang in the children's choir, and was the youngest of a hip-hop/r&b group called Focused. Her voice was always a pleasant surprise from people who knew her to be the "shy little Kelly." She attended Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. To be a vocal major at the school, one would have to audition to get in, and she made it. Unfortunately a few months later, she was upset to find out her father was offered a job transfer to Tampa, FL so her family packed up and moved in late 2004. She was unhappy but God knew what He was doing. Although there were times Kelly was discouraged and wanted to stop, she didn't stop singing. Her mother and father, who is the manager of his own record label HolyZone Records, knew that God had anointed Kelly with a powerful gift. She still ministered at different churches with the different singing groups she was apart of (including her younger brother known as A-FLO.) She grew in her skill as the years went on, but most importantly, she grew in her relationship with God. She attended Trinity College of Florida for 2 years and learned so much more about her faith, theology, and God. Singing and ministering the gospel to people made her realize that this was exactly what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. As God continues to open doors for her (and He has), she will continue to walk right through them. Now at 20 years old, she just released her first album entitled Seasons Change under HolyZone Records. "I just want to make music for the soul" Kelly says.
