About Division Bell

The post rock band Division Bell hailed from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia comprises of Shaiful (guitar), Affan (guitar),. Inspired by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Pink Floyd, Tortoise, Slint. Division Bell held their earliest practices in their tidy room in 2006. From the start, the group enjoyed connections between rock and progressive The group played their first gig in early 2007 at Paul’s Place, Kuala Lumpur. They spent the Feb - Mac of 2007 recording their early work, after 2 months of tortured and hell Division Bell released their first debut ep in 2007 titled Sound Insulator in Gran Gabbana. The band spent the next year composing more music and performing live around KL. The members were signed to independent record label Disarm Records and afterwards released their second debut ep One Left to Another..a New Decade in middle 2009. Self-funded, self-managed and 100% independent, passion for guitar noise. Gain so much from the soft - loud- soft – loud that made by Mogwai in Young Team. They have experimented in several instruments and the results are not very convincing for mix up things. Bloom with depression and personal difficulties, there was a couple of changes in the band’s line-up since its formation in late 2006, the group continued with new members, they managed to pull through and now they are standing stronger than ever. http://www.myspace.com/divisionbelldr
