About Discount Plastic Surgery
Rising like smoke from the hills of Western North Carolina, Discount Plastic Surgery, an American electronic music group, helped revitalize a dead electronica scene in that section of the country's closest thing to a metropolis: Asheville, NC. The four members of the group: sqrt(ur mother), Bit Statis, Left-Handed Scissors, and subqtaneous, formed like Voltron at random live events. They soon followed with a teaser eponymous EP, which warmed up the crowds for the full-length, Placebo, which dropped soon thereafter. Discount Plastic Surgery was then shocked to realize there was a neo-glam band from Britain whose band name coincided with their album name. After a short period of silence and soul-searching, all 4 members shot each other in a four-way Mexican standoff. Their legacy lives with us to this day.
