About Dirty 30
Dirty 30 is an underground rock n roll band from Melbourne. They consist of James Bell (JB) on vocals, Kristian Johnson (Krick) on lead guitar, Daniel Hojnik (Hoj) on rhythm guitar, Aaron Bradbury (Bradaz) on bass and David Ciaverella (Chiva) on drums. They formed in mid 2006 and soon after won a battle of the bands competition which entitled them to free recording time. The result of this was the bands first and only EP, Get On It. On this EP were the tracks Could've Been Blues, Monkey On My Back, Snatch, Gypsy Women, and Lady On The Moon. Although these are the only officially recorded songs, there are bootlegs recorded at the Barley Corn Hotel in Fitzroy where the band became a household name. In late 2007 the band decided to take a break from playing together and explained to fans that this was because of "creative differences". They also explained that it was uncertain whether or not the band would ever play together again. However in mid 2008 sources say that the band may be planning a comeback tour and that members are once again on speaking terms. http://www.myspace.com/dirty30theband
