About Del Perro
Del Perro is a Utah-based, indie rock band. Taking inspiration from bands like The Killers, the vocalist and guitarist, Caleb Roundy, started writing songs from his bedroom during the COVID-19 lockdown period. In 2021, bassist Matt Knox found their drummer, Edwin Stuart (Stu) Ross, VIII, while playing with him at a local church. The band gained popularity while playing for bands such as The Breakfast Biscuits in the Salt Lake City music scene. Matt and Stu also found followers by posting gig information in their church GroupMe's, as well as on Matt's Instagram page. With a small following, they began playing more shows in 2022 and began selling t-shirts and pooling show money together to begin recording their first EP at June Audio. The demo songs and rough mixes made their way among local fans who shared them to gather more fans for future shows. Their first EP, Nicknames, was released on October 3rd, 2022, with the first single being released on July 2nd.
