1) The group Defenders of the Faith is comprised of two notable Canadian hip hop foundation-builders, Checkmate and Concise. Hailing from the West Coast, of Canada the two have paved their own paths by putting in over a decade of hard dedication and strong work ethic. Their debut album as a group, African Kings, was released on November 11th, 2008. 2) The Swedish heavy metallers DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH, the 80s heavy metal influenced side project of THERION, released their album Odes to the Gods on June 27, 2025.
