About Death of an Icon

Death Of An Icon (DOAI) are a four-piece rock band from Cardiff, with a twist. The sound is taking a trip back to the most influential period in American music. Taking influence from iconic bands such as Alice in Chains and Soundgarden but adding the raw foot-stomping power of Rage Against the Machine makes them an exciting band to watch. The band was formed from members of Ill System (Bobby Addison: Guitar, Owen Lowry: Bass), Panel (Mark Hicks: Drums) and Straw Dogs (Danny Coyle: Vocals) and after a line-up change in August 2009 saw Jon Mellor, previously of The Roswell Kings and producer of "To Arms Citizens", replace Owen Lowry on bass. With a new album in the works and tours being planned DOAI are going to take 2010 by storm. Get ready for the revolution.
