About Dave12D3
Dave12D3 is the musical project of 17-year-old David Sutter from Louisville, Kentucky. He started making music with software in mid-2005, after making some remixes on the Gorillaz-Unofficial message board. He made his first album shortly after, entitled "Foundry". The album was the result of a 14-year-old kid with a copy of ACID 1.0 and an unhealthy obsession with Daft Punk. Needless to say, it sucked and he disowned it. In the same year, Dave12D3 made a second album called "Grading Up", which was done in the same vein as Foundry but was much better in quality. Due to a computer dying and him losing the master CD, he was unable to release it until after his third album was completed. Dave12D3's third album was called "The Astral Plane". This album was a huge leap for him, because around half of the songs featured no ACID loops at all but instead a few other programs. In February 2007, he made a fourth album called "Squares." This album was about the same as The Astral Plane, but a lot more experimental in that a lot of the songs were long instrumentals with babelfish translated japanese being said by a text-to-speech machine. After buying Acid Pro 3.0 he made an EP with it for testing purposes (using nearly exclusively ACID loops) and got good feedback on it. He decided to make his fifth album self-titled and make a new style, merging his old style (but better) with his new experimental stuff. This album was made to be 23 tracks in length with random transitions on nearly every track. In addition to that, it came with 10 bonus tracks through a link in the booklet. Recently, he released a new album entitled "Blowout!", which has 13 tracks, along with 11 bonus tracks. He's now juggling two future Dave12D3 albums and a solo project under his real name, and working on a project with Rawk Band mastermind Elliott Hird called SOW HAT.
