About Crystal Breed
The band “Crystal Breed” from Hannover was founded in 2008 by singer-guitarist Niklas Turmann and singer-keyboarder Covin Bahn. When the two musicians had been on several tours with ex-Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth and bands like “Gamma Ray”, “Fair Warning” or “Peter Pankas Jane”, they decided it was high time to go on stage with their own songs. Completed by Michael Schugardt on bass and drummer Thorsten Harnitz, Crystal Breed know how to combine the raw energy of good old rock with musical refinement. Listening to the “nine brilliantly composed songs” (Metal Hammer) on their CD “A Place Unknown” you realize every second that these have been developed in numerous rehearsals and concerts.This is not a plastic band that has just decided to produce a disc on the computer. Inspired and hard-working musicians have worked together with the will to create something special, to lead their audience into “a great progressive artrock world” (STICKS). After successful concerts in important German cities and centres of musical culture, such as Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen and Dortmund, rumour is spreading what musical potential and quality these four young men have. Since March 12th, 2012, label service/promotion agency SAOL has been a strong partner by their side, who knows how to let great music by ambitious artists float on top of the waves of the music business.
